I engaged Jonathan to tutor my daughter for her English A Level. Unfortunately the A Levels were cancelled due to Covid, but my daughter enjoyed the sessions immensely, and learnt so much by way of content, structure and exam technique, that she was determined to continue. She is now preparing for University.

Great tutor

Jonathan has tutored both my sons, he really gets to know the individual needs of each student, providing both text and exercises to suit and prompt discussion.

Both gained a huge amount of insight, confidence, and skill, which have been crucial with not just English but all subjects that require considered thought and response. He has taken both of them through the challenges of GCSE successfully, inspiring them to work hard and achieve what they are capable of.

Thanks to Jonathan for rekindling my daughter's love of English. He is a brilliant English tutor and gave her the enthusiasm to organise her revision at a crucial time, offering plenty of insight into essay technique as well as giving her some useful ways of structuring her time in a busy revision period.

From languishing at a low C grade in her mocks, she managed to achieve an A in her English Literature A level and get to the university of her choice. The sessions with Jonathan made the difference.
